Paddling in the Preserve
Are you looking to immerse yourself in the sights, sounds, smells, and lure of the Big Cypress National Preserve? Experience the Big Cypress Institute with our Institute Naturalist on a paddling program through the unique habitats that make up this amazing area!
You’ll hear the calls of birds and wildlife as you follow the flow of water from the strand as it flows into the estuary. While paddling in Big Cypress, you may glide past sunning gators and wading birds looking for fish! Just don’t forget your water, snacks, and sunscreen!
These interpretive programs are not races or tests of endurance, so be prepared for regular stops to discuss the flora, fauna, and mysteries of Big Cypress!
Canoe, paddle, and PFD are provided at no extra charge!
